Okay, we are well on our way in building our community!!! Children are putting the finishing touches on their projects or helping each other to finish.
Here's what is up so far...
The community farm, house, gas station, and hospital.
The community mall, grocery store, playground/park.
The community restaurant and amusement park.
The community veterinarian's office, fire station, and school.
The workers are so excited as we add new parts to our town every day! They get more ideas each day and want to try different materials all the time. The freedom for children to choose what they add to this mural and what they use is an unbelievable process!
Through all of the movement, "noise," and "mess" at the end of unit time - their independence, joy, motivation, collaboration, and pride are shining through. :)
