Please stop by the Thatcher Brook Playground between 4:30-6:00 pm on Thursday, August 20th for our Back-To-School Get Together! There isn't a presentation planned; just a time for kids to come and play, for parents to ask questions, get to know each other, and get to know me! See you there!

It is officially the end of the year, which means it is time to reflect on our amazing journey in learning together. Check out the slideshow below - it's a mash up of our entire year. Ask your child what s/he remembers about the different photos and experiences. :)

The Montshire Museum

We had a fantastically fun time at the Montshire Museum! We have so many amazing memories from our trip. :) Ask your child for more details about their favorite exhibits and moments.

Also, thank you again to all of our chaperones for joining us! It was great that you got to experience this trip with us and see how much these second graders have grown as friends and individuals. :)

Partner Reading

Last week we earned time to partner read outside with Mrs. Mandigo's class!! We had a lot of fun sharing our books and reading together. Click the photos/videos to enlarge them! :)

Measuring Cooper

We read Measuring Penny, written by Loreen Leedy. The book takes us on a mathematical adventure as a little girl measures her dog Penny in many different ways. She uses time lines, pounds, inches, dog bones, and more!

We were so inspired by this story, we decided to create our own book: Measuring Cooper. Here are some pictures of our project!
